The Flying Scotsman & The Golden Age of Steam

The Flying Scotsman & The Golden Age of Steam
Is there a finer sight than the grace and power of a huge steam locomotive on the move?

The award winning television programme maker, David Parker, spent 12 months filming the rebuilding of perhaps the most famous of them all, the Flying Scotsman. In this illustrated talk David will show clips from programmes he has made about both the Flying Scotsman and steam railways in Britain.

The evening will be a joyous celebration of the men and women who saved some of the country’s most picturesque branch lines and the steam engines that run on them. We’ll hear their incredible stories, and see glorious and rare film of the steam engines, including the Flying Scotsman, they rebuilt.

Please note this event is at the Pittville Pump Room.

Please note there is a £2 ticket commission fee included in the price of the ticket.
