Tickets

Q.        When do tickets go on sale?
A.
Weekend and Day season tickets will be on sale for the 2012 Folk Festival later in the year, watch this space!

Q.        Where do I get tickets?
A.
When tickets do go on sale, you can buy tickets online through the 'tickets' link of the Folk Festival mini site or you can call the Box Office
           on 0844 576 2210.

Q.        Will individual event tickets be available or will it just be season tickets?
A.
To begin with we just put season tickets on sale, then main concert tickets. For the small concerts and Hour or So events we will sell
tickets 15mins before the start of the performance - space permitting.

Q.        What does a Weekend/Day season ticket allow me to do?
A.
Season tickets will allow access too ALL events SPACE PERMITTING. We have a policy not to over-sell the festival over the capacity of the
main concerts in the Main Hall but there are of course smaller venues within the Festival hosting concerts, dances and workshops and entry
to these will be on a first come first served basis.

Accommodation

Q.        Where can I stay?
A.        Hotel
- if you are looking for a good value hotel then visit one of the festivals major sponsors www.thebigsleephotel.com or call
01242 696999. The Big Sleep is only a 5 minute walk from the Town Hall.
Indoor Camping - Indoor camping is like camping but without the tent! The Festival has a very nice hall on offer with great facilities,
including kitchens and showers as well as limited parking (£15 extra for the weekend - applied for through the Festival). The Hall is St Luke's
Church Hall and is again only 5 minutes walk from the Town Hall. You need to bring with you a bed, your bedding and everything else that
you would want but please be reasonable on the amount of stuff you bring as space is limited. All this at a cost of £10 per night or £27
for all 3 nights. Unfortunately we are not able to offer indoor camping to anyone under the age of 16 years.
Campervan - we have a deal with one of the Town Centre car parks, about a 10 minute walk from the Town Hall, North Place Car Park. This
is a pay and display car park but we have permission for campervans to show a permit allowing them just to pay the daily rate but be
able to take up more than one space and also stay overnight (however the gates are locked to the car park at 11pm through until 7am).
The car park has no facilities but is a flat space on the edge of the town centre. To obtain a permit, please call 01242 775893.
Tourist Information - if none of these suit your needs then please contact the Cheltenham Tourist Information Centre for more information
           on 01242 522878.

Parking

Q.        Is there Parking at the venues?
A.
The majority of the venues are all within the town centre so don't have parking facilities attached to them. They are all within easy walking
distance of the local car parks as well as on-street parking. If you are visting during the daytime only then there are also two good Park &
Ride schemes in the town from Cheltenham Racecourse and also just of the M5 junction 10.

Performing

Q.        How do I apply to perform at the festival?
A.
Email the Festival Programmer folkfestival@cheltenham.gov.uk with information about your act and a website where examples can be found.
We get hundreds of applications every year so we can't guarantee an reply to all emails but the programmer will contact you direct should
we want any more information or to book your act.

Stewarding

Q.        Can I steward at the Festival?
A.
We currently have enough stewards for the 2012 Cheltenham Folk Festival, but if you would like to volunteer your time for next year's
festival, keep an eye on this website later on in the year, when the new form will be available.
