Some things just go well together. Port and stilton. Blackberry crumble and custard. So it is with The Melrose Quartet, which brings together two great duos - Nancy Kerr & James Fagan and Richard and Jess Arrowsmith. 

Glorious four-part harmony singing combines with crunchy twin fiddles, majestic melodeon and powerful bouzouki in a set that will leave your heart singing and your feet tapping. Since becoming neighbours in 2010, and making their festival debut at Cheltenham Folk Festival 2011, the four have shared a lot of pie and many a late night, but best of all they have found an instant rapport that will leap off the stage and surround you with intoxicating musical joy.

This festival saw the launch of the album "Melrose Quartet - Live At Cheltenham", recorded at this festival in 2011.
