Through the main entrance of Pittville Pump Room, you’ll enter the Box Office and Reception area, with posters and display boards telling you all about the history of the building, upcoming events and information about things to see and do around Cheltenham. One major feature of the Pump Room is the Spa Well, the only place to taste the famous Cheltenham Waters. When not in use for private hire, you can wander into the main auditorium to see its fine interior and sample the fountain’s historically medicinal Spa Waters for free. Please phone in advance to check opening hours.
JUMP TO A ROOM:
The largest room at the Pump Room, the main auditorium measures at 80 feet x 36 feet across, with a marvellous dome ceiling and a standing gallery.
At the far end of the hall, opposite the large double doors, a non-permanent stage is available as well as our resident Steinway Piano, ideal for concerts and weddings.
The Apse, adjoining the main auditorium houses the Spa Well and allows access to the Bar, upstairs and other rooms in the Pump Room.
Upstairs from the Main Hall, the West Room measures at 36 feet x 22 feet and can be used for a variety of functions. It is ideal for private dining, seminars or even a syndicate room for when the main auditorium is in use for a large meeting.
The West Room is accessible via both stairs and elevator.
The East Room, or Gamelan Room, sits opposite the West Room and holds an exquisite display of authentic Chinese instruments. For more information about the Gamelan, please contact Cheltenham Festivals at firstname.lastname@example.org
