BSO returns with a programme featuring two of the most popular works in the entire repertoire. Bruch’s First Violin Concerto, composed in 1866, was Number One in Classic FM’s Hall of Fame from 1996 to 2000, and remains among the most popular lyrical romantic works in the modern concert hall. Dvořák’s New World Symphony was born of the inspiration felt by the composer on his travels in North America in the 1890s. All four movements are interwoven with the dual flavours of European classic romanticism and North American native themes. Together, tonight’s two flagship works constitute an evening no music-lover could resist.

Pre-Concert Talk (6.30pm to 7pm): Presented by members of the BSO team.

Free entry using your ticket for the concert.

Please note there is a £2 ticket commission fee included in the price of the ticket.
