They include the electrifying Stringfever, renowned Carducci String Quartet, concert pianist Joseph Middleton and singer-songwriter Chloe Foy with Harry Fausing Smith, fresh from their set at Glastonbury Festival this summer.
It’s a fun family afternoon concert aimed at inspiring and entertaining all ages with its broad spectrum of music. Opening with a string orchestra of past students, who’ve gone on to successful careers within the music industry, this Celebration Concert showcases the talents of Gloucestershire Academy of Music alumni from the last four decades. The performers are giving their time and talents in this one-off performance.
Founder Caroline Lumsden has brought this eclectic mix of her academy alumni together to mark 40 years since she began teaching in the kitchen of her Gloucestershire home. Today, the academy is based at Barbican House in Gloucester and has launched a major fundraising appeal to buy its cultural hub headquarters.
Come and enjoy helping it secure its future.
A talented line-up of musicians promises to make Gloucestershire Academy of Music's 40th Anniversary Celebration Concert one not to be missed.
