Vaughan Williams 150th Birthday Concert

The concert is bringing together some of the finest musicians in Gloucestershire, including tenor James Gilchrist and The Carducci Quartet.
The programme will include Vaughan Williams’s ‘A Serenade to Music’, performed by sixteen solo voices, all with links to Gloucestershire, ‘Five Mystical Songs’, the song cycle ‘On Wenlock Edge’ performed by James Gilchrist, two lesser-known works by Vaughan Williams, and a piece by Vaughan Williams’s one time pupil, Imogen Holst alongside a piece by Rebecca Clarke who also had links with Vaughan Williams.

The Venue
