Latest information for customers

Customers are asked to download the NHS track and trace app as you are required, by law, to provide your contact details by scanning the NHS QR code displayed by the till area. If you do not have a smart phone, our café staff will manually record your details which we will keep on file for 21 days.

Please be aware that we are not able to serve you unless you have recorded your details.

 

We’re open daily from 9am until 6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday serving morning coffee, cakes and pastries, breakfast baps, paninis, deli sub rolls, children’s lunch boxes, afternoon cream teas, ice cream, wines, ciders, beer and Prosecco.

Customers loved our full English breakfast offer so it’s on the menu again this weekend at Pittville Pump Room Heritage Café and available for longer, from 9.30am to 2pm. It’s £8.50 or £10.00 including filter coffee or tea. Bacon, sausage, black pudding, scrambled egg, baked beans, hash browns, mushroom and fried bread -OR- vegetarian sausages, hash browns, grilled tomato, scrambled egg, mushroom and fried bread. Available from 9:30 till 2pm at Pittville Pump Room Heritage Café Bar.

We’ve also added American style pancakes at £10.00 with any coffee of tea. Choose from crispy bacon and maple syrup – OR – fresh blue berries, raspberries, strawberry compote and creme fresh.

 

Thousands of you have been enjoying our outdoor takeaway cafes at Pittville Pump Room portico and the Garden Bar in Imperial Gardens since we opened on June 22, and being able to meet friends and family safely.

Every coffee and cake, draught beer, panini, breakfast bap, ice cream, afternoon tea and glass of Pimms you buy at our cafes supports The Cheltenham Trust, as a charity, to come through these challenging times and to be in a better position to re-open the iconic venues we manage, when government guidance allows. Toilet facilities are available while the café is open. The exterior toilets have separate cubicles for men and women and an accessible toilet, which is unisex. The toilets are located on the western side of the building by the car park.

HOW TO FIND US

  1. Pittville Pump Room is located in Pittville Park, two miles from the centre of Cheltenham. The postcode is GL52 3JE.

HOW TO GET HERE

By Car

Cheltenham is located off junctions 10 and 11 of the M5 and on the A40 from London & Oxford. Please be aware you can only exit at junction 10 in a southbound direction, and can only access the M5 at junction 10 if you intend to travel on the northbound carriageway. Pittville Pump Room is signposted from all main routes. It is two miles north of Cheltenham town centre. The easiest route is to head out onto Evesham Road (A435) and Pittville Pump Room is on your right coming from the town centre or your left coming in and out of Cheltenham.

By Train

The nearest station is Cheltenham Spa. This is three miles from Pittville Pump Room and taxis are readily available from the station. Stagecoach’s Service D also runs regularly from the train station past Pittville Pump Room. For timetable information, please check Stagecoach’s website.

By Bus

National Express coaches serve Cheltenham Bus Station. This is located in the centre of Cheltenham, two miles from Pittville Pump Room. Local bus services operate in and around the town, with Stagecoach’s routes 99 and D passing Pittville Park.

PARKING

There are 150 public car parking spaces adjacent to Pittville Pump Room.  We offer three reservable disabled parking spaces.  If you need help with transport and parking arrangements please enquire with the Box Office.

ACCESS

Pittville Pump Room is fully accessible from car park level, and access to the Main Auditorium, Apse, Bar and Colonnade are all possible without encountering any steps. The entrance to the building has automatic doors and our Box Office is located to your right-hand side as you enter the building. There is also an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Unfortunately due to the historic nature of the building we are unable to accommodate access needs on the upper floors. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of our staff and we’ll do our best to assist.

If you are disabled and / or require a personal assistant to accompany you to an event, please advise the Box Office of any access requirements at the time of booking e.g. aisle seat, wheelchair space, leg room, near stage as visually impaired etc. Concessions are available to disabled patrons at some events, along with complimentary tickets for personal assistants. Please ask when booking.

EAT & DRINK

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our new outdoor Heritage Cafe Bar.

Come and safely enjoy a wide range of morning coffee, brunch, light lunches, afternoon tea, cream teas, cakes and ice cream at Pittville Pump Room portico and the Garden Bar in Imperial Gardens. We’re open daily from 9am.

Pittville Pump Room Heritage Café and Bar opening hours:

Staying safe

Please help us to keep you, and our staff, safe by observing social distancing remaining 2m apart at all times. We are operating a one-way system in our cafes which is clearly marked. Please dispose of any food and drink cartons in the bins provided or take it home with you. Cleaning materials are available for you to clean the table and chairs before and after you use them.
